On our card

A redheaded angel-witch rises in bright clouds, sounding a trumpet hung with a banner, her gold all-seeing-eye necklace catching the light. Below her, figures rise from the earth with arms lifted toward the light, answering the call with wonder.

Judgement upright — the meaning

Judgement is a card of awakening and calling, not of being judged by anyone. It often points to a moment of self-reflection, when past experiences are reviewed and a purpose starts to come into focus. An inner call toward a new chapter can emerge here: a direction, vocation, or way of living that feels more truthful than the previous one. Rising to a call is rarely about perfection. It is about answering honestly, bringing everything learned, including from mistakes, and letting the past become material for the future.

Judgement reversed — the meaning

Reversed, Judgement often points to a calling that is heard but not yet trusted, or to self-reflection tipping into harsh self-judgement. Doubt about whether a new chapter is deserved or possible can grow loud, especially when old stories about the past do the talking. Sometimes an awakening happens slowly and privately, before any outward change appears. Fairness toward personal history helps: review it for lessons rather than verdicts. A call does not expire because it was answered slowly, and reflection ending in kindness tends to produce clearer next steps.
