Suit of Wands

Knight of Wands

On our card

A brunette witch charges on a rearing horse, wand raised high, her gold all-seeing-eye necklace streaming with the motion. Desert and pyramids stretch behind her under a bright sky.

Knight of Wands upright — the meaning

The Knight of Wands can suggest bold, fast-moving pursuit of something that excites you. Knights set out on quests, and this one moves toward adventure, travel, creative risk, or a cause that fires the imagination. Confidence and charisma may run high, bringing a season of saying yes and inspiring others through momentum. The gift is courage in motion. The balance is checking the route as you go, keeping promises made in the rush, and remembering that arriving energised matters as much as arriving first.

Knight of Wands reversed — the meaning

Reversed, the Knight of Wands can suggest moving into action before timing, plans, or details are ready. Restlessness may prompt sudden changes of direction, or frustration may flare when progress slows. Commitments made in a burst of excitement can be hard to sustain once novelty fades. This card invites a strategic pause rather than a fearful one. Confirm the destination, check your resources, and finish one quest before charging toward the next. Passion that learns pacing becomes steadier, stronger, and far more sustainable.
